01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
About this place
Set on the 39th floor of Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Otemachi, VIRTÙ brings together expansive views across the Tokyo skyline and refined mixology. Dark timber forms the foundation of the interior, accented by geometric lighting, with a generous long counter and window-facing sofa seating spaced comfortably throughout. Conceived around French sophistication and Japanese craftsmanship, every drink is built with a detailed narrative.
Signature cocktails shaped by Japanese sensibilities
The cocktail menu stands out for its use of regional Japanese spirits, tea leaves, and fruits. Whiskey or umeshu bases are paired with the smoky notes of hinoki bitters, while another signature blends hojicha liqueur and ginger beer over an ice cube embedded with a rose, revealing shifts in temperature and aroma sip by sip. Concoctions such as Hoji & Tiramisu, which layers cognac with espresso and roasted green tea, sit alongside fresh seasonal fruit mojitos made with summer watermelon or grapes, offering something new with each order.
From bar bites to a full dinner spread
While primarily a cocktail destination, VIRTÙ also provides an extensive dining menu suitable for an unhurried table meal. Truffle-scented French fries and fried chicken make easy bar accompaniments, as do selections of charcuterie suited to conversation. For heartier dining, the kitchen prepares freshly baked pizzas topped with mortadella or burrata, pasta dishes including Bolognese and pescatore, and wagyu bistecca, allowing guests to structure a complete multi-course dinner alongside their drinks.
An evening above the capital
The bartenders and floor staff offer attentive, thoughtful service, readily suggesting cocktails based on personal tastes. Whether stopping in for a drink before dinner or taking in the city lights over conversation late into the evening, the room offers an evocative setting high above Otemachi.
